JEWELLERY & GOLDSMITH SUPPLIES
When NIQUA® was founded in 1897, its fretsaws "Made in Germany" were primarily developed for the woodworking industry. However, with the rise of industrialization and the resulting innovations in fretsaw blade production, NIQUA® was soon able to manufacture increasingly finer saw blades – down to dimensions of 0.16 mm x 0.32 mm – which quickly gained popularity in the jewellery and goldsmith industries worldwide.
Today, the name NIQUA® is represented in 141 countries with top brands for jewellery and goldsmith supplies, and has established itself as a market leader in jeweller’s tools on the global stage. What began with fretsaw blades has grown into a comprehensive product range – from jeweller’s saws, burs, beading tools, saw frames, files, pliers, and gravers to brushes, polishers, and polishing compounds – and continues to expand every year.
WOODWORKING NEEDS
Saw manufacturing already had a long tradition in Beltheim when Johann Peter Nick took the step into self-employment in 1897. At that time, the wood fretsaws produced by NIQUA® were already being exported to North America.Thanks to a continuous pursuit of perfection, NIQUA® has developed into the global market leader in fretsaws for both the jewellery and woodworking industries.
