The Antilope Blue saw blades were developed well over 100 years ago and are therefore part of the first generation of jeweler's saw blades. They are the original jigsaw blades for goldsmiths and jewelers. They are often also referred to as metal saw blades because their special hardness, positive cutting angle and distinctively round back make them suitable not only for sawing gold and silver alloys, but also for sawing hard metals including stainless steel. The saw blades are hardened blue and bound by the dozen with silver-colored wire.
